I don’t know if it’s just me, but today, Facebook and Threads are not pulling the featured images when posting on social media. Twitter pulls them up. Is it something related to the theme or is this a FB issue? Tried posting something not from my site and it did work fine.

FB issue. They sometimes capture something, but their caching is not right, and you get blank image. Usually you can click the … on your post on FB, and do “refresh share attachment.”
Not theme related, as your OG tags give FB pointers to what to capture.

yep. theme does not control FB image capture.
