Fatal Error

Hello,

Today I received this error message. I’m not aware of any changes that were made to the site. I tried disabling plugins but no resolution. I’ve restored from a backup but would like to track down the issue to avoid it happening in the future. Any suggestions?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp() in /home/blog1253/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 16

I’m hosted with Siteground. Running Newspaper 8.8.1 and PHP 7.0.3.1 and WP version 4.9.8
