Have you updated the td composer and td multipurpose plugins with those that came with the theme version 8.7? You will have to delete the ones you have in your site and install the updated ones afresh.

I am new to this theme and native plugins, apologise for newbie question: does it mean that each time I update the theme I have to reinstall all the native plugins?

It depends on if they have updated the plugins with the new theme update. Sometimes a new version of the theme comes out but the version of the plugins remain the same, and sometimes both the plugins and the theme are updated. So, to be on the safe side, do delete the plugins that come with the theme before installing any theme update, and then install them afresh from those that come with the theme update. (I don’t work here btw).
