I plan to activate the plugins again via database by using phpMyAdmin and navigate to the “active_plugins” column of the “wp_options”.

At the moment there is only the folowwing code:
a:0:{}

Unfortunately I dont know what to add to activate all plugins :/

Anyone other ideas?

Thank u!

(option A)
Via FTP, rename your plugins folder to xplugins
login; then rename plugins folder back; then activate visual composer.

(option B)
if that does not work;
via FTP, rename your plugins folder to xplugins
login, change to default theme; then rename plugin folder back to normal, then activate visual composer, then reactivate theme

I renamed the plugin folder but the white screen and error message still appear, so I can not login :/

It´s working again! I renamed the folder Newspaper, logged in, activated all plugins and renamed the themes folder back.

Thank you! 🙂 I learned a lesson now

I had the same accident = )
Fatal error: Call to undefined function visual_composer() in …

Gwen’s steps are a perfect quick fix. I used this to update Visual Composer as well.
