Despite being the correct size (I’ve tried 16 x 16 / 16 x 14 – PNG files), the favicon image still shows a white background. Is this an issue with the theme or WordPress? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
First please check the background of png image to be transparent, and if there is still a problem, please provide a link to your website where I can inspect the png background and how this is look on your website.

The problem has been resolved. I simply need to upload it to WordPress (I had only uploaded it in the newspaper theme itself.). Many thanks. Dale
