FB doesn't recognize a link to the website

Hi,

This link: http://openviewinnovations.nl/groeizone/
isn’t working on Facebook. It works on LinkedIn and Google+.
I deactivated all the plugins and installed them again but still, Facebook doesn’t recognize the link.
Do you know what the problem might be?

Note Facebook periodically has issues “capturing” content when overloaded.

They are having problems today, April 1, due to the “overload” of fake news items and “gotcha” posts related to April Fools’ Day.

Usually you can try to share later on …

for our site this morning, we have been manually copy/pasting the headline and first paragraph, link, and photo to get stuff into our FB timeline.

Nothing to do with the theme, technically.

FB just gets busy … doesn’t always work. This is why it works one day, does not the next. Welcome to the internet 🙂

I tried again but FB still doesn’t recognize the link. (to be more specifiek: I place the link http://openviewinnovations.nl/groeizone/ on my FB-page but FB doesn’t recognize the link.

If I try the link http://openviewinnovations.nl/mond-tot-mond-reclame/, FB does recognize the link. This is an older post/blog.

I updated the theme and since than, FB doesn’t recognize new links a make. Maybe it as something to do with the update of the theme?

You can also use the Facebook debug tool.

And make sure you have working OG/Meta tags.

Sometimes FB cannot capture a story due to the type of content, or if almost identical content has previously been shared — it’s totally random.
