I’ve searched the forum for other posts on this issue.
I’ve created a video post. It uses a link to Vimeo. It’s a public video.
The featured image is not created.

How is this corrected?
Image usually created when post is actually published; not when editing; at least in my own experience.
Nobody can login to your page from the link you shared, nor should they.
The post has been published.
Can you provide a resolution? Your reply provided no value in resolving this.
Usually the tagdiv support is very good.

a) I’m not with tagdiv, just giving some feedback
b) you didn’t share link to the post for anybody to look at it, so that would be a good place to start.
One assumes your server has the correct imagemagik/GD library installed, the thumbnail size being used is actually activated in the theme panel, and that the image directory is writable?
Just food for thought – not able to help on a solution without seeing the page.
TagDiv support may have better answer. 🙂

For the moment the theme can’t handle this format for vimeo url: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/ohdear/142538006 that’s why the featured image isn’t set on your page. This issue is on our list and we hope to find a solution as soon as possible. For now the url format supported by the theme is https://vimeo.com + video Id for ex: https://vimeo.com/123535353

And, the link is placed in the Featured Video field on the post page.
Now, the first screen of the video appears as the Featured Image on the post page.
But, when the post is shown on the category page the video box is blank. How do I make that image appear on the category (characters) page?

However I’ve test this link https://vimeo.com/142538006 with the latest theme version and the thumb is generated when the article is displayed on the page: http://screencast.com/t/okgxlx82 – http://screencast.com/t/okgxlx82
Try to update the theme at the latest version available on themeforest, V2.3, here it a guide in this regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ clear all caches then test this again.
