I think that It would be a good feature to have a count of today’s published articles on main menu as today or this week. Similar to one that in theverge.com.

Hi,
Sorry but this request has to become more popular if we are to implement it. We have lots of suggestions and we have to pick carefully what we implement in our themes. For now there is no plan on implementing this feature.
