Feature suggestion: latest articles widget filtered by post formats

Hi,

It would be nice to be able to filter posts not only by tags or category, but also by post formats! In this way, we should be able to display posts on sidebar as “Galleries”, then “Videos”, etc… no matter in which categories posts have been classified.

What do you think about this idea? Is it on track?

By the way, I have a little bug to report you, the first widget [block1] on my blog shows “2 823 278 views”, whereas it’s not possible. I’m using WP Post Views. Do you know what is the problem?

Hi,

Yes, we already have your request on our feature requests list and we will consider it for future updates but we have to be very careful on what we pick to implement as we have over 160 feature requests, if more people will ask for it we will do it.
Regarding your second issue I have tried to replicate it using theme’s latest version (4.5) and found no issues. What theme version do you use? Please make sure you update your theme to the latest version and also try to check for this without using minified js/css/html and also remember to empty cache.

Thanks for considering my feature idea. I think it would be very nice because bloggers want now to display their content by “format” et not only by categories or thematics.

I disabled CSS/JS/HTML minify in my WordPress cache plugin and the bug has left! Thank you!
