Here’s a new thing we’re trying to optimize on our site. We would like our writers to be able to put the feature video link in the Feature Video box, but this field doesn’t display in the Authors view.

I’ve tested this feature from an author account and they can add new post and set a featured video too. You can change the roles and capabilities of your users from here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/roles-and-capabilities/

Hi Bettina, we’ve been asking our authors to try to find the Feature Video field, we even tried to look for it in the preferences as you can see in this screenshot from an author account (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wG0JvFcgXNz5B_9JT-k8zFeEpJGT6eD4/view?usp=sharing) but it doesn’t show up.
We’ve the roles and capabilities plugin in our website so maybe you could tell us how to enable it through there, so they could view and use this Feature Video field while creating their posts.
