Featured category visible

Hello,

My Featured category is visible on my category list on my site. I don’t want to show it to visitors. How can I hide it?

Hello,

Unfortunately the wordpress category element has no way of hiding any category. It will show all categories as it has no way of knowing our theme uses a category to mark posts as featured.

The mega menu is also not properly set. https://www.screencast.com/t/5aCQrPcndVVC Only set the main category as a mega menu and remove any sub-menus of that category.

Can I at least update it’s name to something meaningful to my visitors? It’s pretty bad now as if I remove it I still get featured stories on my mobile site

Hello,

You can rename the category but do not rename the slug for it.

Hello Bogdan,

Actually – it’s opposite. I can change slug but I cannot rename category. As soon as I change name of the category site behaves as if there was no “Featured” category. At least that’s what happens on the mobile version of the site.
