some of the posts look ok, but some featured images on some posts turnes out really zoomed in or too big (in front of title text) on the front page.
How can I fix this?

Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and purge cdn files if you use it and check the images again. It could be a plugin conflict. You can also try to regenerate your thumbnails (you can use the force regenerate plugin) and make sure you have thumbnails selected from here: http://screencast.com/t/6NN40uR4n1

Thanks. It was a plugin conflict with Jetpack. I deactivated Jetpacks Photon-thingy. Front page featured images now turnes up nicely.
