Hi – I updated the theme today and none of my featured images are showing. All gray boxes. Using standard single template #7. Please advise – same plugins as always. Just updated the theme.
OK. I found the issue. But how do I get rid of that awful top admin bar that blocks my menu? I can’t do any work with it blocking everything.

No not the bar that’s always been in WP. Just the Newspaper part with the part that says like “single post 7” and then blocks the top menu. It recently appeared.

I think that you are referring to these ->https://i.imgur.com/Fln0vWb.png unfortunately for the moment there is no option to disable theme from top bar, these are the new options ad in Newspaper v10.3.5 to can edit the website completely from frontend without to be necessary to go in theme panel.
I’ve made a note to our developers to add an option to disable these from top bar.

Thanks – it’s interfering with my work. And I don’t want to edit a website from the front end. I need to be able to USE the site from the front end to test the user experience – which you are blocking.
