This is a weird weird bug. Images from posts are not showing up ONLY on the home page. Any other page they are working. The only I did was delete permalinks from VERY OLD images, nothing even from this year. And the images work on other categories, as well as inside the post, just not on the front page. And I used WP Smush too. Idk why either of those would cause this. If you’d like the website url in question, please DM me. Please advise, thanks!
Thanks for answer, yeah I’ve used that plugin before, was hoping not to have to install it again. But that usually was when no images would show up anywhere on site, this is solely no images on the front page. Also I tried testing it out by making a New post with a new uploaded featured image, and it the image still didn’t work for the home page. Also made sure Featured images and Excerpts are checked on screen options.
Nevertheless, I’m trying out the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin right now, hopefully that works.
Ok there’s something very wrong with the front page. Now pressing the arrows (ajax) to scan articles isn’t even working now.
Gotta love the endless amount of bugs with wordpress and the domino effect of making changes. Legit the only thing I touched was deleting a few old images + wp smushed some images. Now frontpage is broke right during the time that I’m negotiating a direct advertisement deal with a company. Yeah advertise on this broke, no image frontpage! I’ve had and fixed wordpress issues before, but how does changing a couple thigs like shushing an image or deleting some old image break a site! The time suck for nothing. Basically lesson I keep learning is that unless someone is a PHP expert, complacency is the way to go, never change things in wordpress it’ll break on you with some mindless bug.
Oh actually it wasn’t what I thought it was — thought it was a setting in Theme Panel, which I changed and that seems to fixed it. But after testing out Ultimate Member plugin, turns out that if you set it to “Never load CSS / JS in homepage”, it seems to override the theme CSS! Just FYI to anyone who is using Ultimate Member.
