Filter vs. Ajax filter

Hi there,

I hope you can assist me with an issue regarding the filtering functions in the block-settings:

There is a Block 1 with Category Filter set to one category Id = 31. Further there is an Ajax dropdown filter to show the following IDs: 2009, 2010, 2011. The output looks ok, there appears the block with the filtered posts from category 31 and the Block Headline says “Title of cat 31”. But when you click on the filter-links, let’s say category 2009, there are loading posts with category 2009. But the global category for this block is 31, so I would expect that the Ajax filter is considering that and would filter cat 31 + 2009.

Is there any way to make it working like this – or did I miss the right setting to do so?

Hi,

The ajax filter will act as a different filtration on the block. Clicking on a category present in the ajax filter will display posts from that category. That is how the blocks work, there is no option to change that functionality. If you want posts from more specific categories to be displayed, add their IDs in the categories filter.
