When i try to access to the theme panel from the top bar dropdown, my browser freezes and firefox asks me if i want to stop a script that is not responding.
But if i stop the script, the save settings button doesn’t work and i can’t configure anything.
PD: I have WordPress 3.9.2… 😐

Please check your console for any java script errors, also make sure you deactivate all plugins and check for this again.
If nothing works you should consider updating WordPress and theme also to the latest version.

I have tried deactivating all plugins and updating wordpress to 4.0 and still happens.
I hace noticed that in a fresh wordpress 4.0 installation it doesn’t happen.
Maybe some plugins are not being desactivated?

I plugins might generate a js conflict. Please make sure you deactivate all plugins leaving just the Visual Composer plugins active and check again, if this issue doesn’t appear anymore enable the plugins one by one to see which one is generating this issue.
Also make sure you update the theme to the latest version.

I am encountering a similar problem: Theme Admin is not loading.
It started after this: I put a title in one of the “Block 1” which contained this text “Tools & Quizzes”. I then went to edit it and saw that it turned into something like this “Tools 1$3& Quizzes” (or similar – I don’t exactly remember).
I then edited it and changed it to “Tools And Quizzes”, AND that’s when the browser freezes and I now can’t access the Admin at all.
Any bugs known when you put a “&” ?

OK – it’s fixed. Was a Cloudsflare problem in Asia…

We don’t have this issue with the theme panel in Chrome Mac, iOS, Win7/64, or Firefox/Mac.
Using wp-optimize regularly can keep the dbase cleaned of extraneous junk.
Doing clean up of old tables from bad plugins that don’t clean house, can help too.
I have tried wp-optimize and doesn’t change anything… but decreasing the number of categories and tags improves a lot of. After letting it run for a while, the admin panel loads fine. But I have to press the “continue” button five or six times. So i think this is not a bug, only performance issues.
I think the admin panel shouldn’t load all data at the same time, and paginate the “categories” tab.
