Hello,
Any idea how to fix alt value for images? I see most of themy are missing including in your demo.

They are missing as they have not been added. You can add an alt text to any image from wordpress in the media library here: http://screencast.com/t/IKCw4uhbqx

Hello,
It’s difficult to add them manually on each images. I can see other theme/framework add this by default. Would it be something for great Newspaper to do this too?

Hi,
Unfortunately there is no way at the moment of adding alt tags automatically. I will add this to our update list though and if the dev team decide, it will be implemented in a future version.
