PHP version? WordPress version ?
After the update big grids only work on full width rows. Now appears the error message.
What does the error message say?
Are you running old version of PHP (5.2 ?) – you should have 5.6 or later.
Are you running WP 4.7.3 — older version should *not* be used.
What version of Visual Composer? Did you update that with the theme?
I have the same problem in my website. Im running php 5.6
“Big grid 4 Please move this shortcode on a full row in order for it to work.”

Hello,
This is no bug. It is a simple check we added to prevent the use of the big grids on 2 columns.
The big grids were designed to work on 3 columns. They were never intended to be used on 2 columns.
