How can I change the font of the column title? when I select big in tag compositor I change to another source that is not the one I have in the theme

Hi,

There are options for customizing the fonts, column title has them as well. Please check the general tab of the element
https://www.screencast.com/t/TfLVN1xW9iXc
Customize the fonts of the title as you wish.

Thanks

Yes, for now I have it changed so but could that automatic source be that I do not have to change it whenever I put a title? In theme options I have the same font for everything but that appears like this …

You could save this element after you configure it
https://www.screencast.com/t/5njp4onvb
Then you can place on pages this saved element, configured as you want

HI,

I have a question, because of the DSVGO in Europe.
We have to use customised fonts which are saved on our personal computer and not linked to google-fonts.

So I have the problem, that the “default fonts” does not shoe which font is used by newspaper. So how can I find out? I tried several fonts in woff file to change it but I can’t get the same font view.

How can I solve this problem?

Is it right that I can install only three custom fonts?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

@OFFROAD
There are options to upload and use 3 custom fonts at the moment. By default the theme will use these fonts
https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
If you maybe installed a demo, this will import additional theme panel settings, so other fonts may be loaded. You could check what fonts are loaded by inspecting the website source for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/EmHHH9eC94HF

Or use the browser inspector to identify them – https://www.screencast.com/t/92CxuZK5M5

There is now an option to remove all theme fonts
https://www.screencast.com/t/EW5qkFqML9

If you have problems identifying some fonts, or can’t get the same result, I could take a look. Provide a link to your website and mention which elements you are referring to.

Thanks

Hi Simion,

the problem is, when I do the inspection I have more than 10 different fonts. But the theme has only the option for three customized fonts. So I can’t change every font or even upload a customized version.

Is there a possibility to change the ground setting and put in only three customized fonts which I can change by the theme fonts or better in an complete font change for all default fonts? Because than I have to change only the default fonts….

Thanks.

Best regards

Hi,

If you load 10 fonts, then this would be somewhat of a problem. Only three custom fonts can be loaded in the theme panel currently. I will add this on our list and see what can be done about it. We will try to add more custom font spots.

So if you still want to use the same 10 fonts there would be some possibilities. You could multiply the font upload spots in a theme file. Example
https://www.screencast.com/t/4BhDz9yPWz
https://www.screencast.com/t/TSmqt1q8ij1W
But the modifications to that file will be lost after a theme update. Maybe make a backup of the modified file and replace it after a theme update.

Or could load fonts with font face, but then the fonts would need to be applied manually for each of the elements, with CSS

Hi Simion,

I can’t deactivate the google fonts in my newspaper theme. Because there is no identical option like you explained me in the following…

There is now an option to remove all theme fonts

https://www.screencast.com/t/EW5qkFqML9

If I would know what the exact default font is, than I could replace it with the identical customized font, but that doesn’t work out.
I put Oswald in, but the font doesn’t look like in the main menu/top menu…

Do we have a different choice to change it easily. I don’t want to change each font and after an update everything would be gone and I have to do everything again.

Thanks for your help!

In addition, Simion.

I tried three different customized fonts and changed it in the theme panel under “Theme fonts”. I changed only the header fonts – all fonts – but the design of the font in the preview had always the same design. It doesn’t matter if I have used arial bold, oswal dregular oder robotoitalic.

That’s confusing at all.

Do you have any idea which problem I have?

Thanks
Sascha

Hi,

The missing option would have a simple explanation, you are using an older theme version than when the option was introduced
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 (changelog at the bottom of page)
https://www.screencast.com/t/axu4iVseE
I believe the option was also related to the current GDPR laws. I assumed you were using the latest theme version.

If you could provide a link to your website and mention the elements I should inspect I will take a look.

The facts are like this, if you want to disabled Google fonts update the theme first. After you disable them, the theme will not load any Google fonts anymore.

There are currently 3 custom font upload fields. I believe that will be increased to 5 in the coming update/updates. If these are not sufficient, then the better option between those I presented above would be to load the fonts with font face
https://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/using-font-face/

Thanks

Hi Simion,

now I update everything and the google fonts can be deactivated. So this problem is solved. 😉

But when I change the fonts in the header or the main menu – it doesn’t matter which font or custom font I use the result is always the same. The desing of the the fonts doesn’t change. I changes from the design I want to another when I deactivate the google-fonts. But the new design what I don’t like can’t be changed.

What can I do?

Thanks
Sascha

Hi,

I don’t quite understand what is happening. Did you upload custom fonts in the theme panel (woff format is required)?

If the Google fonts are disabled then they cannot be used anymore in the website. They won’t be loaded no matter which one you select. Load your own fonts and apply them.

Thanks

Post count: 52

Yes, I uploaded the cutsom fonts in woff format already. I disabled the google fonts, which can also be activated – because of the button – or not? Doesn’t matter.

When I use the custom fonts in the several menues nothing changes….

It is some font design which is steadly online in use in the pre-showed homepage design. I am not able to change it – however.

So where is the problem or how can i change it?

Thanks

I also tested with an uploaded font I had around in the media libray, please see here
https://www.screencast.com/t/NcPCmqrB4j
https://www.screencast.com/t/NhM0VHyKW76g
I applied that in the main menu – https://www.screencast.com/t/8HxbpLF2
The font is loaded and applied – https://www.screencast.com/t/nnaCRgonW

So the same would have to happen for you. Do you have caching? clear the cache if that is the case, also force refresh the browser page a few times (Ctrl+Shift+R).
