On my newspaper theme, I notice that the font weight on the mobile device varies unexpectedly. On some places it is heavy and in the same post, it changes its weight automatically. You can see in the screenshot that the font weight on the upper part of the display is lighter and below part is heavier. Whereas, I have changed nothing in the font style in the theme. Everything is on default in the font area other than the weight of Post Content font which turned to “300 Light”. You can see this on the following URL

I believe there could be differences in font weights between browsers, but not with the same browser for the same font and font weight.
I have inspected the post you mention, I see no problem with it at the moment like in your screenshot. There a weight difference is definitely visible.

Thanks actually what happened was that some of the text was copied from a different word editor. Maybe it brought some formatting with it along the text. But the font system of the theme could not enforce its own setting that should not have been the case.
In the above scenario when you checked the particular post, I may have re-pasted the text from one single word editor that is why when you opened the post, it had been changed already.
But I think there should be an enforcement of the settings no matter what different format the text carry.

Could have been that, like you mention. If the copied text had maybe inline CSS, the theme setting probably will not apply, it is not that strong. Maybe preview the posts before publishing, or make sure the text does not have additional style.
Thanks but here is another scenario. Again something happened similarly. As you can see in the following screenshot on the mobile device that 3rd and 4th paras are different in styling.

It only appears on the mobile device where on the desktop, it looks normal. After this I opened the ‘text’ of the post and
You can see that some paras are showing the styles and some are not. And those which are not with style are looking different on the mobile device but on notebooks/desktops, it looks normal.

Why on mobile devices, it doesn’t enforce the styling rules?
Inline styles are the strongest, the theme style will not apply if the paragraphs have inline styles such as that

Maybe you can configure the editor you are using to create the text to not add this style, since you don’t need it.
