I’m speeding up my website using the ‘Footer Delayed Load’ feature. In the footer I have 3 headings, all of which are ‘Block Header 8’ and coloured #ffffff.
However, when I delay loading the footer, the headings change as shown in the screen grab at https://imgur.com/a/6y9PpTB
(The website is https://news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/ – but you will see a cached version. The screenshots show the uncached version.)

Nigel

Hello,
I think this situation is created by the cache options from the cache plugin and the delayed outer option from the theme.
In case you are using WP Rocket, then is no need to use the theme option for footer delay because the plugin already has this kind of option – https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/1835-automatic-lazy-rendering
Thank you!
Hi Calin
Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate there are many questions to be answered on the forum and I suspect that, under the pressure, you missed my PS that you could view the uncached website at https://news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/?nowprocket.
Also, the screen grab at https://imgur.com/a/6y9PpTB was also uncached.
Anyway, I’ve abandoned efforts to use the ‘Footer Delayed Load’ option as it’s a pointless exercise.

Hi,
I agree. Since the WP Rocket plugin already is lazyloading the footer https://prnt.sc/Iye8qEXx2LJr using the option from the theme on top of it could lead to issues.
That is however an unusual issue, because from what I see in your screenshots the block header style seems to be changing from style 8 https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-8/ to style 1 https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-1/ The styles are created with CSS, maybe if you use the option to remove unused CSS from the rocket plugin it may be removing more than it should. Or maybe it’s a combination of things that causes it. If I would have seen the issue, then the problem would be clearer after checking with the browser inspector.
Anyway, the footer seems to display alright now while looking at it as a regular visitor https://prnt.sc/EfCe7blO-bzu
Thanks.
Hi Simion
You’ve hit the nail on the head – the block header style changes from style 8 https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-8/ to style 1 https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-1/ when you invoke the Footer Delayed Load feature.
I can get around the problem by not invoking the Footer Delayed Load feature and using the WP Rocket caching plugin. However, I suspect there are folks out there facing the same problem.
