I just updated my site to use the footer template style one. and in the popular posts its showing posts from 2015. Where in the site do I update that section to filter correctly, because I know that is wrong.

Hello,
The popular posts show your most popular posts based on the post views. If you want a custom sorting for a footer element then you will have to choose a footer template that does not come with predefined content and use the 3 footer sections in the appearance -> widgets There you can add your own elements in the footer and filter them from the block settings.

so does it only pick when “post views” option is turned on? If that is the case I will turn it back on.
