I am developing an aggregator website http://www.topofmarketing.com where feeds from various websites are gathered and I display the excerpts redirecting the visitors to the original websites.
I am having problem with formatting the page as few post excerpts respond to the theme formatting whereas many do not. secondly the limit of word count on the excerpts is also not working on many posts and many times the complete post text is visible instead of excerpt disturbing the entire layout of the page.
Sometimes also multiple images get displayed in the excerpts again disturbing the page layout and design.

Please keep in mind that we do not have any bad report in this regard, and I do not exactly understand where do you have received these reports? I know that exists a lot of online tools but not all these are tested with our theme and also, can provide many other interpretations, sorry! Please provide more details about this case, also, you give me some useful screenshots so I will be able to provide a more accurate response. You control that sort of thing by using a custom import system like FeedWordPress or similar where you can filter elements, set excerpts vs full text, remove errant HTML, etc. — none of that is controlled by the theme as content “imported” via another system will be affected by how the content imported is brought into each post and related data fields.
