I am sharing useful info here for those who might want to pull in high quality syndicated newswire content for your local, regional, or national (or topic focused) news portal/blog – from Send2Press® Newswire.
Using FeedWordPress, you can pull in full-text news into Newspaper (or NewsMag, or WPion), and have that auto-published into a single category like “National News,” or you can have it go into categories, or tags; even auto create tags for your site.
Send2Press has been online since 2000, and creates high quality content to AP Style, and generally with an inline image, which can also be captured to be used as featured image for used in thumbs for modules/indexes.
Popular topics and sub topics include things like entertainment, then sub topic like books. Topics like technology, with sub-topic like telecom, or software. Topics like finance, with sub topics like mortgage or insurance. (etc.).

With most WP themes, your category and index module thumbnails are made from a featured image, so without that you’d have either empty boxes, or a fallback image which isn’t very attractive.

If you wish to include the original source meta tag in your HTML header, you can add the following code to your WP theme (usually in header.php before the closing head tag). This basically pulls the source permalink custom field created by FeedWordPress so you can print in your meta data.

Hi – we don’t take international calls, sorry. Also I think we have .bg blocked for spam. Our main site has been online 25 years and you should see the amount of spam we get even with blocking and filters 🙂
You have permission to use our news feed(s) provided you follow normal Google guidelines to retain the links at bottom back to the original story which lets Google know you are syndicating the news not pretending you invented it (content theft).
