I’m using the ACF plugin as a submission form in the front end. I have an email address field where users can put their email address, but this field doesn’t accept email addresses like “contact@domainname.tech”. I’ve checked editing the post in the backend, it accepts such emails but in the front end it’s not the case. I have checked with acf support and they said “The ACF plugin itself shouldn’t restrict emails based on domain extensions. It’s more likely there’s some validation happening in your form code that’s causing the issue.”.
Is there a way to correct this. Thank you!

Indeed, there seem to be some limitations in the domain. A workaround is to set the type of the field to text.
