Front Page Layout – Custom?

Hi, how do I get my front page to look like these guys’ site?

Is this a custom job or can this be done through the default instance/settings?

Hello,

The homepage is very easy to create as it has just 2 elements in the main content.
A big grid 6 and a latest articles section with a module 1 set to it.

And there is a sidebar added to the latest articles section which can also be selected from post loop settings.
