Full width feature image and title with left side bar post

Hi,

I’d like to have posts with a full width featured image and title but still retain the side bar.

So page elements would be:

Breadcrumbs
Category tag
Title (full width)
Author date
Feature image (full width)
Content with a right side bar.

These websites probably describe it better:

The Independent
DIY mag

What’s the best way to achieve this layout? Can any of the single or loop templates be modified to do this?

Post style 9 https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-major-deep-feelings-january-2015-deep-house-mix/ looks closest. Just needs the title and feature image flipping.

Hi,

You could move the title by modifying the post template structure in the theme files (loop-single-9.php and single_template_9.php for post template style 9) – https://www.screencast.com/t/p1haONEuqx and moving the function responsible with the title and position it before the place where the featured image or video are being called like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/9cdU1A7cXYrO with this result – https://www.screencast.com/t/lJ3udfts
