Full width header + boxed content

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to use a full width header and a “boxed” post content.

I am using STYLE 6 for posts and STYLE 5 for the header (after I modified it a bit).

I am comfortable with editing the code so it would be great if you can give me some pointers.

Ideally I want to do something like this:
