Has anybody done a css fix or hack to do a full width slider on home page with newsmag? We have a nonprofit thing which has been using a different brand theme past couple years and its a pain to deal with, and im done with it. Thinking of just moving it to trusty newsmag, but they have these full width images and slider with the animated messages.

Thanks fellow newsmaggers ?

Hello Chirs,

I have tested on my side one imported slider from Newsmag packet and it seems that the Revolution Slider is working fine in full-width, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/uw9r4w5an Please ensure that you have correctly set it your slider from the panel to be in full-width, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/rssIXUpZMei
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about this regard.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Hi, they actually have it “full width” for the viewport …
and here is the example:

https://prgrants.com

I was thinking of having the full width newsmag logo top, the hack for full width footer with CSS, and perhaps putting the slider “above” the normal body container so that it would be full width like the menu bar.

Have not yet tried it. Just got tired of trying to fix the nutty bugs in that other theme, and want to switch for January 1.

NO panic or rush or anything, just was thinking the other day “duh, I could just move this thing to newsmag … !” 🙂

Hello Chris S,

We do not have made any tests if the menu can be added to the Revolution Slider, like as in your example and also, we do not know and we cannot say for sure if this task it is possible using the Revolution Slider only if you will consult the plugin documentation and see if you can implement this. I have inspected your web site example and I noticed that there is not used Rev Slider, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/tfbgdVnMlPws

Thanks for your understanding!

Oh, no worries. Not trying to add menu to rev slider.

Just going to try to do this

[ – – – – – menu – – – – – ]
[ – – – – slider – – – – – ]
. . . . [ content ] . . . .
[ – – – – – menu – – – – – ]

Will let you know how it turns out.
