Hi,
I read the article https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/ and I have two question:

* Why don’t you insert the function suggested in the article above in you theme package?
* The JS included by your theme, why does not include the “defer” option?

Please note that this pages speed guide https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/ is not made by us, this is made by one of our users. The settings from the guide are made in that way to work better using our theme.

my last question is: Is it possible define the “defer” feature on the JS included by your theme or that option can generate problem on the theme?

Unfortunately we didn’t test this, therefore we can not say what will be the results, if you want you can make a test. Please try the solution from this article -> https://www.hostinger.com/tutorials/wordpress/how-to-defer-parsing-of-javascript-in-wordpress
