Galleries not working after 9.5 update

Hey, guys! Greetings from Bulgaria!
Yesterday I updated Newspaper to 9.5, but I noticed that galleries are no longer working as expected. The grid shows the pictures, but nothing happens, when I click on an image, it doesn’t show up in full screen.
Please, advise on this.

Hi,

The theme modal will apply if the gallery is created in the classic editor, or if in Gutenberg the classic element is used – http://prntscr.com/mhvojs

I made a test on my end, seems to work same as before – http://prntscr.com/mhvp0m

What exactly is happening in your case? Let me know.

Thanks

It might have something to do with Jetpack 7, which was updated at the same time. I’ll post here If I find out what happened

Update: It’s not Jetpack.
I’ve restored from a backup (9.2.2 theme), updated all the plugins, cleared the cache, everything works fine.
When I updated to Newspaper version 9.5, the gallery is visible, but I cannot click on an image.
Have in mind, that we have over 300 galleries – most of them are created with the classic editor, the latest ones are made with Gutenberg.
Please, advise.

Could you post a link to where this is happening, as an example? but this will require that you update again.

Or provide us with admin access at contact@tagdiv.com after updating so we can check first hand these galleries.

I use the latest theme version as well, the galleries made as specified above in the classic editor, or classic element in Gutenberg work same as before

The modal works for those galleries.

Here is the link to a gallery:

Currently it’s rolled back to 9.2.2 again.
Should I install 9.5 again?
Thanks!

From what I can see you use a plugin for the gallery, which has it’s own lightbox feature. The theme gallery I was talking about is this one
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-aston-villa-beat-liverpool-to-join-arsenal-in-the-fa-cup-final/

Maybe after the update there is a conflict between the theme and that plugin. I can’t say for sure, we haven’t made any testing with gallery plugins.
There could be errors, maybe try and check with the browser inspector to see if there are errors in the console after you update.
