With WordPress 5 and new Newspaper update, all gallery options have been disappeared. When you add gallery, then visitors are not able to click on pictures, because modal image and other gallery options does not work anymore.
I see that wordpress 5 has been a huge headache to tagdiv team and lots of work needs to be done until it’s WordPress 5 compatible.

No, I mean when you use new WordPress 5 Gutenberg.
But, yes, if you use classic editor, then these things work as they worked previously. But if you use Gutenberg editor then all these things what I mentioned – gallery, modal images, picture link, … – do not work. And I was wondering will be there some fix for that in the future? Or wait for new WordPress version and hope they change that basic stuff what they have back to more advanced version. Or what’s the plan?
At the moment only through the classic element will it be possible to create a gallery, have access to the formats drop-down, or to the image modal settings.
Maybe this will change in the future, I have no information about it currently. Since there is a classic element in the Gutenberg editor, this would not be considered such a pressing issue.
