The recommended GDPR Cookie consent plugin has recently been changed.
Not it is acting weird (e.g. even if I click on it, it does not disappear for a while).
Is there another recommended/tested plugin for that purpose?

You can test/use which one is suitable for your needs, but please take care for a future plugin conflict.

I think you should start testing others, as this seems to be bought by another company, and it no longer works properly.

Any updates on recommended GDPR plugin?
Currently it does not work with Newspaper.
Unless I accept the banner, it does not show the latest posts (like a few day old version of the page Egzostive), but even if I click 10 times, the banner still stays.
This is makes a very embarrassing impression for the page…

Unfortunately, for the moment we can not say for sure each one will work better with our theme, but most of our users choose a different GDPR plugin of this list https://popupsmart.com/blog/best-gdpr-plugins-for-wordpress and on that moment they said that is working.
If you want, you can test some of them and choose the one that is working better for you!
