General Modal Image – how to make exceptions

If we have ‘General Modal Image’ enabled, is there a way to make exceptions for specific images in a post?

Unfortunately, no. This effect will work over all post images.

Let the option be disabled. And you can turn on or off the Lightbox from the Gutenberg editor on each image.

I thought that might be the only way, unfortunately we already have thousands of images and making the entire back catalogue unclickable wouldn’t be ideal.
