Get view counter to synch?

Hello, on the front page of the newspaper website, on all of the posts there is a zero in the black box next to the article (the front shows zero views)

but once you go to the article there is several hundred views. How can I get the black box on the front to synch with the views on the actual article. (for example there are 167 views)

Btw this function has never worked since I started with the site.

Hi,

That is referring to the comment count on the respective posts, it is not a view counter – https://www.screencast.com/t/4IUxySmEP If it is showing zero it means that the post has zero comments.

Well, I have disabled the comments in the theme panel as I am using disquss, I was wondering then how I can either link it to that service or remove the count. THanks.

Hi,

Well if you disabled the comment count for blocks/modules in Theme panel->Block settings – https://www.screencast.com/t/nOdssnor it should not be displayed on the modules. Maybe the plugin you are using is adding it there, please check it’s settings too see this. It would be helpful if you could provide a link to your site, so we can inspect it and see why this is happening.
