I don’t know if I just have no idea what I’m doing or what, but when I install a demo theme, I click on the link for the video, it takes me to the article page, and then has the video embedded into that page, etc etc. For some reason whenever I add my video to it, it does nothing. It’s either:
I play all the videos directly from the home page
or I click the video from the home page, and it redirects me to the home page.
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, can somebody please explain this to me?

I’m afraid I don;t understand exactly what the issue is. Our theme does not have any feature to play a video in it’s thumbnail directly on the homepage. The blocks show an image thumbnail of the video, not the video itself. If you click on a video post in on the homepage it will lead to the post, not play the video. And there is no feature to open the video in a new tab. We did not advertise any of this anywhere.

Yes well, it doesn’t show a thumbnail of the video (linked from Vimeo) and when I click on it, it does not lead to the post. It simply refreshes the homepage.
Example might be useful to get assistance ?

This sounds like a plugin conflict to me. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and rest cdn files if you use it. Also try to re-save permalinks.
If you still have trouble with this please provide a link to your site so we can inspect it.
