Gifs Resizing

Hi! I am moving my news site to a new VPS, I’ve installed everything from scratch and now I have a problem with gifs. I’ve moved all the content using the wordpress REST API and gifs in posts were have links to a resized version, which is broken (not animated). Is there a way to disable resizing altogether and force the theme to always use the original image for all thumbnails/cases? Or at least for gifs?

Try to regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin. Check this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/

Erm, why? I asked if I could disable resizing altogether – resizing gifs breaks the animation.
