today I received this email and they are probably referring to the Adsense placed to the moving sidebar.
Do you have some similar experience? Is this still a valid placement?

Hello … yes, they don’t like a “focus” sticky ad, which is ironic since they are now pushing sticky footer ads on mobile (duh).
The way we have avoided this in past is to have the ad be in middle of the content on sidebar … meaning, we have related stories module, recent comments, etc. so that the ad is “part” of the sticky element on a long scroll, and the focus is not the ad.
We have been doing this for 2 years now without issue.
Simple fix for you, turn off the smart sidebar; make sure you don’t have any “auto reload” elements on page for a slider or something which loads ads more than once on same page in same area.
