Google Adsense Not Displaying on Sidebar

Hi There,

Ive searched through the topcics and didnt find the exact problem.

I have added a 300×250 Google Ad to the Front Page Sidebar.

The “space” that the Advert would normally take up is actually there – however, nothing is showing up.

Interestingly, the top horizontal banner IS showing.

Can you take a look, please?

Thank you!

Note Google sometimes “delays” showing new ad units on a page until they verify it, or their system “checks.” I have this issue too when I redid my ad units with Newspaper, but it’s not theme related. Usually clears up in a few hours. But double check your code and the size.

Thanks for the reply. These are fairly old Adsense Codes – so I dont think that’s the problem.

What’s interesting is that side bar AD is there – but it’s invisible to on the screen. If you click and hoover over the empty space you can see the Adsense box.

It’s just not rendering for some reason.

Hello,
can you use the adsense panel instead of the normal panel? http://screencast.com/t/9Po7Dluft

you can read more here: http://import.tagdiv.com/newspaper/doc/ads.html#resp-ads

We are working to make this system easier to use in the future.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Thank you for your response.

I tried that method. Nothing still appears.

Because when I right click and hoover over the website – I can see the block/space where the ad goes, I think it might be a problem when I switched Themes.

Perhaps Google believes there is more than three image ads on the front page because there is a mis-rendering of the code somewhere.

The Top Google Adsense banner works – so I cant figure it out.

smartyseo… if you’re using old code you should go get new code as Google is migrating everything to async loading, and I had to do that with some of my really really old ads from, oh 2009 maybe ? Get new code and choose the “async” option when creating ad, then insert the codes for the new ad (I made mine things like 300×250 2014 in the AdSense panel to identify new ad). This solved the issue for me (see publishersnewswire.com – in progress converting from 10 year old site … ) … now if I could only figure out why Google keeps showing me Asian dating site banners when I’ve never been to any such site or even remotely an interest in importing a bride from Thailand (thanks Google… I think you have me confused with somebody else!) 😉

Hey, smartyseo!

Can you tell me how you did you footer like that?

Hi, which part?
I created a custom menu. For the FB graphic, I used the FB plugin. I hope that helps!

Thanks for your reply. I tried that – and was hopeful, but for some reason, I think the theme is rendering a risidual code from my last theme and making it believe that more than 3 advertisements on a page. I deleted all my old widgets containing code, but not sure what else to do. I ended up putting Amazon codes instead and that worked.

Thanks

Sorry for not being specific.
I like your “More Information” section. I was going to ask mods, but maybe you can help me.
What kind of module is it? And how do I create separate html pages to be linked to it (about, advertise, etc).

Oh, okay. First, you create the pages you want. 2nd – Create a new menu (you can label it “footer.” and insert the custom menu into the footer widget. I hope that helps!
