Hi,
We’ve added the google adsense in the ad config fields all of them as “auto” size. However, some are appearing squared, where rectangle is appropriate:

We’ve then changed the ad code to 728×90 however, it still appears as squared.
Any idea what we might be doing wrong?
Thanks!
Hello,
The ads appear squared because there is not enough space for a full on 720 px ad. The content width is only 696 pixels if you have a sidebar on and google defaults to a square ad. please choose an ad size from here that will fit the content better: http://screencast.com/t/9Zsa9qguJKn
Thank you!
Hi,
The implementation method is different It did not fit perfect as it was a responsive ad. The theme shrunk the image to fit the container. Adsense cannot do that. If adsense does not have the exact size, it will default to another ad. Only if you use adsense responsive ads will you be able to do it. Like i said above the content is only 696 pixels wide. There is nor room for a 728 px ad. Here is an example of a 728 px image inside the post content with sidebars: http://screencast.com/t/gSDZfW9K6Fb
Thank you!
Hello,
@Metric
But you can select the size you want for mobile as well. Please select a different ad size for mobile phones: http://screencast.com/t/oNfvQibZ
Thank you!
Hi, thanks for that, did not see it 🙂
We’ve enabled the custom sizes for mobile, however, some ads work correctly:

Other don’t work:

Result:

We’ve basically set all mobile sizes to 320×50, cleared caches, but still no luck. Also tried it on a real phone (not the Chrome simulator) and the same there.
Cheers!
Hi
I am not sure why this happens but there could be a cache issue. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
