I’ve figured out that my neat face doesn’t show up anymore in front of my links in the search results on Google.
I’ve read the forum and my rel=author is mentioned a couple of times in an article/post. Also this worked before, like a couple of weeks ago.
Does anyone have a clue what could be the case here?

first thing to do is to check your page source that the data needed is there under META tags, and the footer inserted by theme.
Second, use Google’s tool to check for the author link works.

I guess Google became strict in showing the pic or not… sigh. As the webmaster tool points out, it should be okay.
Do you think showing ‘by author’ is mandatory to be shown on or in the article? Or is the current setup OK and should I pray for Google to show my pic again in the future… 🙂
The author picture feature was spam a lot by sites.. for example some webmasters where using sexy girls on wordpress tutorials and such :). In the last couple of months I think google got a lot more picky about what picture they show and a lot of our users complained about this but unfortunately is out of our control .
