Google isn't showing the POST URL

Hi all,
I’ve been using the Newspaper theme and optimizing my on page using the YOAST SEO plugin, everything was alright when I start blogging on my website but after getting indexed on google I just can’t find my permalink which I’m using domain.com/post-name .
All my posts are indexed category wise like in what category I’ve posted the article e.g, https://domain/some-category while it must show the slug I’m using.
I just check all the posts slug on on the YOAST optimizer and there I find everything is normal.

Yep, that’s how Google works; since the headline and link are explicitly to your page, there is no need to make a truncated URL underneath; so they show link to main site, then category to provide a jump link to that category.

Theme has nothing to do with this, however if you only wanted to show URL in serps, you would need to disable the breadcrumbs entirely.

This is how Google works. You’re not buying a classified ad; they are generating the SERPS based on usability. They read the breadcrumbs to show the path in the content, which is more useful if say it was book review, and the category was book reviews, you could jump right there, –or– click the main big giant link in blue which is to actual page.

Showing the ‘url’ in serps serves no practical purpose for somebody looking for information.

Hope that helped. 🙂
