Google Maps – Get Location from ACF

Hello, I’m trying to set the “CPT Location Display” map object to the address from an ACF text field. The directory we’re building should display each listing’s address on the listing’s page.

I saw some other posts here that suggest using the Post Forms Location Finder as part of a listing submission form in order to do this. This won’t work for the directory we’re building.

Our directory will contain thousands of listings that are entered into an Airtable database. We’ll be using a plugin to sync the contents of the database to the Custom Fields of each listing, so it’s important that we can sync to an address custom field, which is then applied to the Google Map.

Please let me know how I can take the address from a Custom Field and have it entered into the CPT Location Display object. Thank you

Hello @lyon !

Unfortunately, you cannot display an ACF location type field in the cloud templates.
Can you please provide more information about what and how you want to achieve it?

Thank you!

Hello, Thanks for getting back to me.

So what we are trying to do is have a setup like this: One of our custom fields is a text field for entering in an address: Address Field Screenshot

We would need this address geocoded in order to display on the listing’s Google map, just like on the TagDiv demo sites: TagDiv Real Estate Directory Demo Screenshot

How would we achieve this? Is there any other way to assign an address to the Google map without having to resort to submitting each listing one-by-one through a TagDiv form?

Hello @lyon !

Unfortunately, the shortcode that we created to display a location on Google Maps works only by retrieving the location stored with the help of our form builder. It does not accept any other input as an address.

Thank you!
