Since last week, images on posts are suddenly not properly shown. There are two problems.
1. ‘The image #1 could not be loaded’ shows if you click an image on a post except for a featured image.
2. The size of images is shrunk with any blocks whether it’s on homepage or sidebar widget or related posts after an article on each post. Even icons with the theme are not shown properly sometimes.
The theme was perfectly Ok until I updated some plug-ins. After having trouble with images, I deactivated all the updated plug-ins. But that doesn’t improve the problems yet.
I have two sites, one with the latest version, the other with 9.6 version. The latest version one has #1 problem, 9.6 has both.
Do you have any idea why it happened?

1. There was an issue in 9.7.3 with the general modal image functionality. That was the message that appeared when clicking on post images other than the featured image, when the modal image setting in the theme panel was enabled.
However this should be fixed now – http://prntscr.com/old3gg in 9.7.4. If you use this version and it is still happening, I suggest that you clear the cache, browser cache, CDN.
2. I could take a look, please post a link to the websites and I will inspect the images. Could be something affecting the thumbnails. The theme should create them properly, but sometimes image optimization or delivery services can cause problems.

#2 problem was solved after regenerated the images. But #1 problem is still happening even thought after updated to the newest version. It still says ‘image could not be loaded’. I previously used the soledad theme which had the mosaic tiled media gallery. I notice there is no such function with Newspaper, I am wondering the problem I’m having is something to do with that previous theme.
