Header Background color

Adding a background color to the header causes IE to wrap blank space. It appears the space for the add is a block and causing it to wrap.

This only seems to be a problem with IE (11)

Ideas on what is causing this?

I am having this same problem on Firefox. I came here to ask the question and seen this.

Latest version of firefox too.

Please provide your site;’s URL containing this issue so I can inspect this as I haven’t managed to recreate this.
