Header slideshow not working with custom template – desktop mode

Hello,

I’ve created a header block to replace the theme header in order to have a separate menu for desktop and use the main menu for mobile, because the theme has no separate mobile menu option it just uses the header main menu…

The header section uses a header ad zone with a Metaslider plugin shortcode, to show 2 image banners with links.

When i used the normal header, the slider worked fine. When i use the template header, the slider does not slide in desktop mode, just in mobile view.. It seems that the theme is blocking the loading of the script …

I’ve tested other sliders and the same problem, they don’t work.. I could try RevSlider, but I think it uses more resources. My ideea is to use a lightweight slider option to show 2 or 3 images…

Hi,

Please provide some more details about the way you’ve set the shortcode for ad slider, also some screenshots would be very helpful.

Thank you!

It’s a standard shortcode generated by the metaslider plugin.

If you visit the site https://rvtravel.eu in the header section there is an image, that should be sliding, as in mobile view (tested with firefox and chrome).
As I’ve said, if normal header is used (no template option), there is no problem.

Hi,

Lets try in one more way, is this will not work too, then the plugin is not compatible with tagDiv Cloud Library.
Please replace the ad from cloud header and set an column text, set the shortcode in text area, if this will not work, the are not compatible.

Hello, unfortunately I’ve tried and it doesn’t work.

I managed to install Site Origin Widgets, and use only the Image Slider Widget.
Then, with some CSS custom code, the slider displays and works fine.
This thread can be marked as solved.
Thank you!
