Header Style and Google Ads

Ok, so what I want is “style 1” (logo+ad) + menu. However when I add a 728 x 90 – Leader board from Google ads,you can’t see it at all as it’s obscured by the menu. To resolve this I tried moving the header alignment but it results in the ad covering the top menu or the sites logo being obscured by the top menu.

I have seen other sites using the leader board sized ads fine. So is there something I can do to resolve this?
