Header SubMenu showing ALL categories when Category has no child

The Header menu, when clicking on a category page, shows all the nested categories.
But when the category has no childs, it shows them all:

Is there any way to hide the whole sub menu? Or to hide it when no childs are found on category?

Hi,

Sorry, my screenshot was hosted on facebook. Maybe it’s blocked for non-me people.

This is the specific URL where the SUB header navigation is showing all the Categories.

Under the Main Black-backgrounded navigation menu, there is a White-backgrounded row that is showing child categories and a right-alined select menu. I want to remove the whole line, without using a css display none hack.

Hi,

There is an option in Theme Panel to disable it: http://screencast.com/t/Oyr2cSXhl7 this option will disable the header for all categories(if for all categories is set default). Or you can disable it for each category.
