Nevermind – somehow the “default” widgets got lost when I upgraded the theme. Fixed now, they were still there, just moved into “inactive” status

The sidebar is the widgets – go into widgets and re-add them to your “default” widget area
I did but dont work 🙁

The @timeventura is right! All the sidebars were moved in the bottom section of Widgets area, to the Inactive Widgets, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cKcgjLS6eTkl Notice that the theme puts them there but if are not there, I do not know, sorry! If you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicts.

You have to go to the widgets section as mentioned and there you will see all the available widgets to create a sidebar, or the inactive ones from previous sidebars

You can use the primary category to set a sidebar for the posts, so you don’t have to manually set one for each of them
