In the theme panel’s category settings, there is a very useful feature: “HIDE CATEGORY ON POST AND ON CATEGORY PAGES” (Show or hide category on single post page and on category pages. Useful if you want to have hidden categories to sort things up).
I would like to use this functionality for the homepage of my site. Some categories are necessary for organizing content, but I don’t want them to be displayed on the homepage or publicly visible.
How can I achieve this? Is there a built-in way to hide specific categories from the homepage while still using them for sorting?

The options from theme panel are for standard templates. You can edit the page with tagdiv Composer and in the tab layout you can hide the category -> https://i.imgur.com/cKtGgZ8.png

Sorry, but you didn’t quite understand me, most likely I didn’t explain the problem in enough detail. I have 2 categories attached to my post, for example, news and politics. On the main page, I don’t want to display the news under the post, I want the politics category to be displayed.

The category displayed on the block is not related to the category set for filtering.
So, you can filter the block by category you want.

Thank you for the answer. I understand this, but I need to select three categories in each post, and I want the block to show only one. The other two never fall under the auto-selection. For example, I have the categories ‘Politics’, ‘Announces’ and ‘News’ and I want the Announces and News not to be displayed in the block, but to write Politics
